Hey guys, Not sure this post belongs in this section, but i didn't see a better place for it. I have had my machine for 8 months now, and when I use it I work in inches, thats what the machine is set up for. Now I have some parts that are metric, so I am using MeshCAM and it gave me all the G-code and I told it that the parts were in MM so it made it correctly. I get it to my Mach 3 downstairs and there is no G21 in the code, so I added it at the top, but nothing happens. HELP! Thanks for any advice! Andy |

| The easiest way is probably to scale it in MeshCAM. When you import it into MeshCAM, choose inches. Then, go to Scale Geometry (Geometry Menu) and check "Uniform", and scale by 0.03937007874015748031496062992126 Your code will be in inches, and the part should be the same size. I posted the above because I don't really know what the problem is. Did you use the Inch post, or the mm post in MeshCAM?

| Sorry, The problem is this. I go into meshcam, load the part in "mm" and when it compiles everything and I open it in Mach 3, the code is in mm but the machine seems to be thinking 100mm is 100 inches because it just keeps going and going and going, so I will do the conversion. Thanks! I think that will be the fastest way. |

| If you actually run the part with the G21, everything on the Mach3 screen will appear the same, but the machine should be moving in mm instead of inches. Without actually running the machine, you won't see the difference.
