Here is a question for those of you in the UK. I have the option of buying a part built machine a table router that is capable of cutting anything up to full size sheets of mdf/ply or 8 x 4 foot. The gantry is done as is most other things - so the questions are Which router or spindle which steppers and driver etc And for those of you who know me - finally I have moved into a 600 square foot workshop unit to pursue a career in building guitars , flightcases and speaker cabinets. Bear in mind I will have to purchase in the UK. Regards Tony

| Steppers will have to be decided on depending on how much the gantry weighs, as well as the method of driving them ex.) Lead Screws, R&P, etc. Drivers will depend on the motors you go with as well. If you're just machining wood, a basic router should suffice. |
