After making several attemps at my own build, with minimal success, I would like to know if anyone could show me where to buy just the gantry for a cnc machine, without the table and electronics? I already have steppers, drivers, a 4'x8' table, just need to gantry portion minus the router? I have seen several plasma gantry's on ebay and torchmate, but I need one for a router, preferably designed with rack n' pinion in mind. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

www.snbinc.ca Might have what you are looking for, or parts to build one.

Mechmates seem pretty easy to build if you get the material laser cut and bent: http://www.mechmate.com/ Check out the "Profiled (laser cut) & bent steel plate" forum in the "Common Assemblies & Parts" section bob

I'd check out the 80/20 guys (alum. ext) We built ours out of 3" x 6", works great. You could buy the parts from the companies that sell machines, but you'll be paying for a few middle men. Probably end up assembling it yourself anyway. Hope that helps ya, Mike
