I just got my X gantry beam completed and noticed when the X/Z is moving towards the stepper ( I mean in a direction towards the mounting bolt through the Drive to the carriage) it was quieter. When I move the axis away from the stepper it was much noisier and I see a small cant of the CNCRouterparts drive away from the rack. It now doesn't fully engage the rack or should I say it doesn't engage the rack squarely since it has a small twist. The shoulder bolt appears to have a little too much play in it and allows the pinion end of the drive to pull away from the rack when traveling towards the pinion. Has anyone else heard/witnessed/observed this? Thanks guys.... |
