Plastic Sign Material - Where to purchase?

I found what I was looking for at McMaster.com.
They have just what I need. "Blank engraving plate stock" on Page 1765

They are the only plastics people I deal with...and they are right down the street from me. Not sure how they handle non-local orders, but they are worth at least calling. Great people, and they have pretty good prices. The DO carry just about any kind of engraving plastic you can think of.

I think Johnson Plastics has the best selection, and their prices are better than most.

If anyone figures out how to engrave this stuff with out melting it let me know. I've been able to manage, but it requires a lot of babysitting the machine.

I remember visiting a store down on Canal street in NYC that only sold plastics. I think this is it http://canalplasticscentercom.verizo...site.com/home/. I don't know how good their prices are but if you're in the area (lower west side?) you'll save on shipping over internet shopping. The last time I went, they were selling 12x12x.25" blanks for $1. There are other plastics shops in the Canal area. Just Goolgle "Canal Street Plastics".

Thanks, forgot about Canal St. I will have to try to get down there and take a look see what they have. I haven't been down to Canal St. in a while. It's not like it used to be. All the good stores are gone. More of a tourist trap.
