Hi everyone. I'm Jeff and I'm going to build a CNC router. (I learned that in AA) My job keeps me on the road for week's at a time, so I am looking for a kit that I can build in a week or so. My budget (for the router) is 2k and can be pushed a bit. I will be running Vectric Aspire w/ Design & Carve Series 1. So I'm wanting a well proven machine. I have never played with anything CNC before. However I have a wood shop, I have built my own computers for years and I'm great with mechanics. I am ready to buy the FineLine Automation Machine because I can order everything all at once. But I have tried to contact them twice and have not received a reply. I think his website might be loosing my messages. (If anyone knows him could you have him contact me). I have also been looking at Joe's machine's They look great but I'm kind of in the dark about how to get them built with 5 start screw's (Would I have to send them out to be cut & machined). Any help would be appreciated. |

| Jeff, Just found your thread. Hopefully Nate responds to your messages soon -- I know he's busy these days just getting orders together. I'd love to see another machine based on CNC Router Parts components come to life, so let me know if there are any questions I can answer in the meantime. Ahren www.cncrouterparts.com |

| Thank's Ahren. I only have two questions about the router and they should be easy. 1. I realise that I'll be doing all the tapping holes on the alum. But ate the holes along the length of the 80/20 pre drilled? 2. In the eDrawing the router mount is for the Hitachi M12VC-1. Is that the one included in the kit? I can't find the mount on the part's lists. If so this is good, I havent bought the router yet & have heard good thing's about the Hitachi. |
