I scrapped these components from a film line machine. They were used to control the height of a platform that a laser was mounted on. Just wondering if I could use any of this to start out with. Thanks - Doug |

| It looks like you got three nice lead screws or ballscrews, its hard to tell, an encoder, and a power supply that might help. The motors dont look worthwhile messing with, good new mid range steppers are only 20-30.00 each now a days. Leadscrews or cheap ballscrews are at least 75.00 apiece.

| by the way, the motor is in 2 pieces because i took it apart to try to learn more about it. It was in fine shape when I got it and I bolted it back together. I was wondering about it though, the gear reduction part of it has the output shaft off centered and most of the motors around here seem to have a straight through configuration. Is it an odd motor for it to be offset? |
