What size is the machine? How fast do you want to go?
    What size and pitch ballscrews?

In most cases, large motors like you listed are a poor choice, unless you have screws with a very high pitch. They don't have much torque at higher rpm's and can't provide high speeds.

Also, don't use chain, it has too much backlash. Use timing belts if you want to connect two screws together.

You have already built a sturdy welded frame using square rails & trucks, why not add rack & pinion to complement the existing parts!
If you use the CNCRouterParts belt reduction system with their 7-Amp NEMA34's, you will have a great machine!

It's not what you take away, it's what you are left with that counts!

I agree. You can also use quite a bit smaller motors. I would do a slave axis as well. This does give a few advantages over Jack shafts or belt/chain syncing. Much faster speeds with R&P and you have the ability to square the gantry by homing it before each part or job. This keeps the gantry dead square.

If the chain/belt sync does have any issues at all with backlash, you can bet that both sides will not be equally effected.

I would seriously look into CNC Router Parts. My Plasma cutter is a joy to use mainly because I decided to go with them for most of the electronics and drive system.

Where could i find cheap rack and pinion stuff ???

this stuff is heavy .. not yet sure about the bed platform ,, i might have to mill out some of my aluminum from the x axis foot's .. as i don't get allot of travel..

Not without knowing a lot more about your machine. Can you answer all the questions I asked before?
Are you using ballscrews, or rack and pinion? The components you use, and how fast you want to go will dictate the choice of motors.

If your budget is $700, then the most powerful setup in that price range would probably be a G540 with 381oz motors and 48V power supply from automation technologies.

Those motors and those screws are probably the worst commbination you could buy. If you plan on using ballscrews that long, your best bet would be 2525 screws. 2005 screws will whip at higher speeds, and those 1600 oz motors aren't capable of high speeds.

Look at the CNC ROuter Parts components for rack and pinion.
