concrete, sidewalk and patio engraver

has anyone else built one of these? I am kind of on the fence as to how much power i will need with my steppers, the design is of my own, and i have most of the parts on hand already, just need to order a motor and drive kit.

I hope to make some side $ engraving poolside designs, driveway and sidewalks

Sizing steppers is something you will need to do. We don't know anything about your machine, how big, how heavy, what kind of drive you have planned, what linear motion components, etc. The best thing you can do is look at similar builds here and get an idea, and then do the calculations of what torque you will need. Since this forum is under the woodworking classification, most of us have no idea about the loads involved in engraving concrete. Everyone here is a volunteer and most are very helpful, but we can't do the design job for you and 3 hours is a bit quick to expect answers when you havent provided the info needed.
