Looks great... is the dust shoe public or private I'd love to get a copy of it. I'm looking to revamp my dust shoe and would love to take a look at it.
Keep posting the update pics.

I'd been doing some work on a "Air ring" (not sure what to call it) for clearing debris when I cut aluminum and I'm going to try and incorporate it into your design, really love it... I'm still very new to Fusion 360 but liking the results.

Speaking of milling aluminum, here is a tiny test piece i did a couple months ago. This is a 1mm 2 flute ball end mill.
I'm also just using compressed air to clear the chips

Very cool!
Hi can someone remind me when and why the tubing gets filled with sand? And is foam used sometimes?
I filled my base frame with sand to add mass and help with vibration dampening.
I filled my gantry tube with 2 part foam trying to dampen resonance. Sand would have worked better but I didn't want the added mass on a moving part. I did some before and after tests and the foam had a positive affect. It also sealed the inside and prevents temperature changes from forming condensation and rusting out my gantry from the inside.
There was a guy over on the UK forum I think, that built a router out of aluminum extrusions. He filled his extrusions with a silicone casting compound. That's probably a better solution than sand or polyurethane foam.
