Default Ball screw Z Axis opinions

    Hello.
I am interested in two of the following Ball Screw Z Axis assemblies:
CNC Z Axis Slide 7 75" Travel Ideal for Big Router ballscrew and Supported Rails | eBay
Rovercnc Z Axis Assembly Heavy Duty 7 87" Travel Anodized Red | eBay

As I lack the technical knowledge and I'm sure most of you will have a far greater understanding than I. Please let me know your opinion about these items. I am also open to any other suggestions of Z Axis assemblies from other companies. These are the two that I have narrowed down to after a couple of days searching.

I do like that both use supported rails. But I have noticed that the first item uses a solid coupler which is not to my liking but haven't decided if that is a deal breaker yet.

A little info of my application:
This axis will be used on a 4' x 8' flat bed router gantry.
Primarily used for routing on wood, acrylic, and some aluminum.
Router used is a Porter Cable 890 variable speed.

I appreciate your information and help.

From the pictures, I'd go with the red one, that uses profile rails, rather than the one with round rails. You'd expect it to be more expensive because of that, but it's actually cheaper. It's hard to say more about them without specs, but you should use a coupler that will allow for a little misalignment, rather than a solid one that won't.

The diameter of the ball screw on the red one is 16 mm vs 12 on the other one. The red one will move 16 mm for every rotation and the other one will move 4mm. You will get a higher resolution with the 4mm, but it will be slower than the red one.

In comparison, my Z (which is 5 in of travel) will move .1 inch (2.54mm) per revolution and this works very well for my needs. I just do 2.5 D so the Z does not move up and down a lot compared to 3 D.

Red one hands down. The profile rails are the winner.
