I've found some cheap screws that look as though they might be useful for CNC drives. But are they too cheap.

The problem may be excess play in the nut. This could be fixed by the use of a material here in the states called "Moglice"

It sounds pretty good.

I believe that Moglice is quite expensive, and I believe it would be cheaper to buy a good acme screw than to try to get the play out of a woodworking vise screw.
