Wired up laser cross line to masso output relay along with air relay. I think this will make setup quicker. I was tired of quessing where my x,y corner location. This is probably been done a lot but just thought I would share it for what it’s worth.
I’m very happy with it you can clearly see what it’s doing. I will try to make video if I can figure out how to down load it. Last time i tried it said file was to large.
Thanks
They are 2 1/2 stainless car exhaust tubing from eBay. The main tube is 4” piece I had left over from air cylinder and donut is 3 90 bends.
The hard part was cutting slots with router in the donut. There was no why to grab it so I hot melt glued to board to hold it. That worked well. The first time I fired it up I didn’t think it was going to working very well then I realized I didn’t have dust collector gate open.
When it’s running you don’t even see chips it looks like it’s not even cutting. The air clears the path and blows the chips up in to the vacuum and since they are being blow up in the back it literally looks like it just running above the surface. I really like not having to disassemble to change bits and being new to all this I really want to see what’s going on when it’s cutting.
I down loaded spoil board cut file and cut grooves for foam cord seal. Thanks for the help jalessi.
I wanted to seal the top so I painted rubber coating to seal and also give a nonslip surface before cutting. I’m thinking about doing the rest of my soil board as well.
Very nice job, your donut exhaust is very cool. Is it open on the inside closed to the cutting side? So you just direct the air in to the chips and it stucks it up the two pipes? Nice tig welding too
I don’t use air except for metals to cool and remove chips. Wood is picked up without the aid of air but can be used if needed. Sorry I didn’t see your question.
