Here is how I did mine.

Nearing the end of my gantry rebuild (actually used it for a project I had to get out the door and will update the build thread soon), and now I'm redoing the vacuum system... I had a fixed show before, but now I'm going to a moving shoe design lie the Kent CNC shoe...
I had almost pulled the trigger on just buying one of his, but I realized that there is just no way I can make it work on my current table....
So I gotta build one.... I've ordered the brushes, have some 1/2" acrylic and some 3/8" acrylic, ordered the dust port and have the hose pretty much already routed and mounted... I'm ready to design and make it except for one thing... magnets...
How are you guys doing the magnet thing... I'm planning on using 3/8" acrylic for the permanent mounted base, and 1/2" for the removable brush part....
So I need suggestions, pictures, descriptions, diagrams as to what size magnets you used, and how you mounted them....
Also some links to good DIY threads on this style shoe would be appreciated...
thanks,
Mark :rainfro:
