I am considering using a Bayside Nanopositioning 5" Stage RGH25 or a Knob controlled equivalent fro my z axis. I am the guy who is trying to securely mount a pc router above my compound milling table (xy axis) to router aluminum. I would use extremely rigid support for this (1 " aluminum plate support and sides.)

Do you think these would be a good idea??

On EBay : Item number: 2564110854 Item number: 2564115565
(please don't snag these if I am on to something here..I trust you guys ;-)

I just want to have the most rigid, accurate setup I can. It is not meant to be a gentry setup, but rather something I can use for z axis only and maybe, just maybe, down the road use it for a sideways and z axis router mount. I am only looking for 2-3 inches of z-travel and figure I can fabricate a larger mount to attach my router to this

I really appreciate the help.

John
