First post, been reading alot.
Going to build a mill about 48 x 24 x 8 or so, 3/4 or 1 inch mdf, scavanged thk rails, allthread screws, and home built (arduino based) controller.
Like the birdy says, cheap cheap cheap.
Want to see if anyone has used craftsman routers. Specifically :

Never used one, but I'd never recommend for anyone to buy a Craftsman power tool. Spend an extra $20 and get a 2-1/4HP Hitachi.

While I can't say I'd recommend them for CNC, I actually have on on my machine now as my Bosch went into retirement. I have to say it's been working well on the CNC...
My first real machine, a Solsylvav build, also had a Craftsman router, and it wasn't bad at all.
