    Default CNC Boring Machine

I'm just curious....I'm wondering how many people have built a machine that has an air drill attached or as the only head?

for a small cabinet shop, I could see a 24" x 36" machine that would bore end panels for hinges, slides, and shelf holes being pretty useful. Perhaps the head could be interchangable with a spindle for sign work and stuff like that?

    Any thoughts?

why not just mount the air drill beside the router or make some kind of quick change mount?

There are a lot of mini-mills that use ultra high speed air spindles (up to 60kRPM) for high-precision miniature machining.

Otherwise I would think the cost of running an air spindle or drill would be far more than electric?
