I have a laser scanner, and I have BobCAD. If you want me to take a look e-mail me some pix to mike@mcpii.com
Good Afternoon,
I have a small railroad style coupler that I need digitized. It is 1/8" scale, which makes it about 6" long and about 2" square. There are only two pieces, the main body and the knuckle.
I need the output file to be inportable into BobCad. I would like to make a mold to produce wax casting patterns so I can make cast steel working couplers.
I can send pictures of the coupler if needed.
Thanks,
Martin

Why not just put your part in silicone rubber, then when cured release it and make your wax molds in the rubber mold. That is how I do my small parts.
I use a 2 part mold rubber, you can get on Ebay.
