I need a digitizer with a resolution of .002" or greater (as in more precise), something I can generate CAD files from, is this doable for less than $2000? I am a small shop, often I am to make replacement parts that are no longer in production and/or no longer available. I use a Deckel duplicator machine for this, but I am going CNC presently, and would like to phase-out the Deckel completely. Thank you! 'Slinger out. |

| I don't know if anyone got back to your thread, but the price tag might be a bit of an issue for that resolution. The good news is that most of the cad programs have plugins that handle stl. files. This is good because the rapid form program alone can set you back 10,000. Before you buy make sure you demo on your products these things can be touchy to different surfaces. |
