I am not sure if i am in the right forum but here goes. I wrote a probing macro to probe a spherical shaped part. It has three flat faces with bores. The macro probes each face and picks up the x,y and z of each face.(The part is on a rotary table)After probing each face it sets up a fixture offset for each one.The fixture is probably not perfectly on center. The parts are casted so you never know if there is enough material to remove from each face. The problem i am having is coming up with a calculation that will transpose the z positions so that they intersect in the middle of the part. This will work as a datum for each face so after probing it will offset the values to let the operator know if he has enough material to remove from the faces. Any suggestions will be greatly appriciated. Damon1313 |
