First, this is a great site that I've stumbled upon with a lot of info!

Some background...

I'm working on a project for work using a K2 CNC three axis router table and running Mach3 software to control it. I've played with some stepper and servo motors and controllers in the the past, but not enough to be considered more than an inquisitive novice.

I plan to attach a laser scanner to the Z-axis stage and then use the X-Y stages to scan some small, flat panel parts and basically make height measurements across the part face.

The laser scanner is made by Acuity and I'm controlling it with a pre-written National Instruments LabVIEW driver.

Finally to my question, is there an easy way to get X & Y coordinate information out of the Mach3 software either digitally or possibly via a text file that could be read into the LabVIEW software?

If there is someone out there who has experience integrating these two software packages, please let me know via email. Thanks.
