Hi, I was wondering if there is a cheap software to convert the measurements made from linear plunger type encoders along a contour to a graph of some sort. I want to be able to have a precision shaft with a linear encoder on it attatched to a plunger encoder (which will be in contact with the surface I want to measure), so I have essentially an x axis and a z axis. I don't need the y axis. Basically it is two encoders, one for x axis and one that measures the z-depth. I want to be able to drag this encoder over objects to get a profile from the side. So I will end up with a 2d graph. The plunger encoder is: http://www.usdigital.com/products/pe/ Do you know of any easier ways to do this? Thanks. |
