Hello World at CNCzone "Digitizing and Laser Digitizing" Forum: I was just referred to this site from the sculpture.net forum (check it out if you do anything art-related!) We are probably the largest and oldest firms specializing in 3D scanning, digitizing, digital modeling, and reverse engineering in at least the U.S. I don't want this to be a blantant advertisement. We have a website loaded full of projects, graphics, definitions, examples, equipment explanations, process descriptions, etc. at www.directdimensions.com. I welcome the opportunity to answer questions, exchange sample data files, test theories, work out file translation issues, etc. We have a large talented staff of engineers and designers that have lots of tools, software, tricks, etc. that can help. I will add this forum to my list of many that we follow regularly and contribute as able. A couple of good ones for this group include: sculpture.net (mentioned above for art and sculpture) cmmtalk.com (for coordinate measurement related work) cmsc.org (for serious industrial metrology projects) forums.sme.org (new forum for manufacturing related issues from SME) Thanks for this great new web resource for us too! Michael Raphael President Direct Dimensions, Inc.
