Looking for SOftware for FARO

we have an quite old FARO in our classrooms which nobody can use because there is no software for it (what a shame!)
It says, it is a FARO Platinum, but it has a touch probe as well as somethink like a laser scanner.
Probably FARO changed the product line...

Anyway. I'm looking for a cheap software to let that fellow run again.
Freeware would be very nice, but anything else is welcome.

Of course I checked faro.com and I know that I could use geomagic, RapidForm and stuff like that, but they are very expensive.

Probably here someone knows a alternative?

Try Rhino. Maybe your school already has it, or can buy a student licence.

Since you are an educator, contact your nearest distributor and ask for an exception. They should supply software for free or a discounted price.

We have Rhino, and it works, but just withe the tactile probe ball, not with the laserscanner.
And of course, we would like to use that as well
