    steel rule die through plastics?

I'm hoping to cut plastic with steel rule dies. Is this going to work out? We're looking into different plastics .035" - .08" thick is a steel rule die going to be able to get through that? What plastics would be best to work with (also have to be easily injection moldable). Please give me some thoughts.

    Thank you,
    Brad Leong

Steel rule can handle it but plastic is abrasive so it will only last so long before resharpen or redo steel rule die. You need a well trimmed clicker press to get good cuts. Size??? Dimensional tolerance?
The plastic depends upon what you need to do with the part afterwards. Fit finish etc is a factor in this. Way too many plastics out there to say 'this' is what you need.

What does injection moldable have to do with the steel rule die??? Something in the process is not right.
