| Speed & Feed Rate? Hello to all! I am new in this forum and I would like to help me in a minor problem! I have a hole 8.5mm and I would like to make a tap (M10). The depth of the hole is 22mm. What will be the Speed and the Feed Rate? Thank you in advance! dcis77!    |

| M10 x 1.5 ISO Course thread M10 x 1.5 thread. A good starting point would be 196rpm and 9.8 ipm. |

| One Question again! I have a carbide 16mm with 6 flutes (50mm long). I want to pass around a piece of steel to take 0.1 lateral oversize. I use 1800 RPM for Speed and Feed Rate 400. Is this correct? It is very noisy with these values. My cnc-machine is "screaming". What Spindle Speed and Feedrate is recommended? Thanks again! dcis77 |
