| If you are referring to milling already heat treated material, I don't think it can be done. It's difficult to mill even before heat treating. Ferro-tic is usually machined to near net size because of the difficulty of grinding after hardening. Gene |

| I did some machining on this stuff. you have to machine it before you heat treat it. after heat treat it is like carbide. to machine you have to run a very sloooow RPM without coolant using carbide cutters. cut into the part or it will chip (like cast iron). I used to have some instructions for machining but I can't seem to find it right now. I'f your interested let me know and I will keep looking. good luck and have a lot of patience while cutting. |
