Running a parrallel interface board

I want to use my axxus parallel board and also use my 2nd generation board on the same machine. It looks like it would work because you would be feeding step and dirrection to the parallel board from the deskcnc board. The reason for wanting to do this is I need a program I use now to run the machine and I need the deskcnc to run my new probe from deskcnc. Does this sound like it would work.
