Need help to locate stepper motor control board plus driver

Hi everyone

I have a small road block that has set course to my route,
maybe you can help to solve it.

I found the perfect stepper motors for my setup but
I can't seem to locate a circuit that will handle the amps.

Here's the motors

4: NEMA 34 HIGH TORQUE STEPPER MOTOR 640 oz-in, Shaft with a flat, 80 mm

KL34H280-45-4A (Single Shaft) Specification Price: $89 Rated Current: 4.5A, Rated Voltage: 4.1V

I liked these but it needs a voltage of 500v

I wanted to use mach 3 as the cnc software

any one know of any schematics that can handle my amps and can be used with mach 3?

I think you posted in the wrong forum but as far as the motors go you looked at the wrong specs. That 500v is not to power the motor but it is an insulation raring. Based on the spec sheet, this motor is happy up to ~100vdc. Kelingcnc has a bunch of different drivers, just check out there site.

I wanted to build my own

to cut costs down.

I am a college student so money is not heavily on my plate
to buy Assembled ones

I am not a circuit speciallist but the cost to build your own steppers will be close to what comerciall units will cost, but probably higher. If it is a school project go for it, but as a way to save money, I am not so sure.

Any driver that accepts industry standard step and direction signals can be used with mach3 and be driven from the pport. Always use a breakout board. IMHO.

not much on the cost effective side

If that is so then
it would be a lot cheaper to build the stepper motor drivers myself

Chec this thread for why it will be a long road for drivers of that power output. power and controller help

Not that it impossible, just a false economy if electronic design isn't your full time job. Not to mention that you get a waranty and customer support.
