I picked up a 90 Maho MH600c last week and its all up an running. Its got a 432 with 6601.601 software rev. Did all the usual maho crap, loaded new constants, new battery. I really dont want to have to reenter the constants by hand and Ill be using this with cam so I need a serial connection. Right now Im just trying to send my constants out to a laptop.
Using predator and 4800 N 7 and 1. I have a 3 wire cable. 25 pin to 9 pin : 2 to 2, 3 to 3, and 7 to 5. This does nothing on any flow control setting. A hayes modem cable gets tons of flow errors, transmits a bunch of junk. Same result with a standard null modem cable. I have parameter 770 @ 2, 771 @ 0, 772@ 1, 773 @ 2, 774 @ 30, 775 @ 1, 776 @ 9600. I also tried using a smart cable serial analyzer. I could either get garbage out or nothing on any of the settings. This leads me to believe I need a very specific cable and/or my constants are not correct.
I have the original cable the previous user was using but it does not connect at all either. I didnt check the 25 pin end of that cable, but its different on the 9 pin end than the 3 wire one I made. It also was routed through the operator panel support arm so I cant see all of it to check for damage or ring it out without removing the panel covers. Anyone with serial experience for this? Thx
