 Deckel SO-E cutter grinder regrind Anyone done this, regrind the inner taper portion of a cutter grinder sleeve? ( where the cutter collet contacts the sleeve ) Maybe some type of set-up with a Dumore grinder on the lathe? Wold prefer to farm it out to someone with more experience with this type of thing. Cost for a new sleeve is 690.00 from GTI but unsure about fit with the existing index head, which is why i tend more towards just regrinding. Was quoted 4000 for a complere index head, not worth it. Can get near new SO's on eBay for under that. Or new Kuhlmann SU-2 for 5500 rom GTI.    |
