Hi, I'm still looking for a nice cnc milling machine. Recently somebody offerd me a Deckel FP4-60T. The machine is still in a German machineshop. The guys there bought it new, at least that's what I've been told.
The machine is from around '92 to '93, has dialog 11, all off the documentation and still is in good shape I suppose.
I already went there to take a look at it, but didn't have the time to fully inspect it (geometric measurements and stuff). i noticed that some of the lights underneath the pushbuttons didn't work, but that would be easy to fix I guess.
I assume that some people here own the same machine. Any information about experience with the machine or problem area's or where to look for and stuff, would be greatly appreciated.
I dont want to buy a "problem machine" after all.
Some guy who worked with a similar machine, a FP3-50, told me that the has quite a few problems with it. The sliding Y-axis seized a few times at his machine, although it was well lubricated. They completly reworked it after every seizure. But still had it happen 3 to 4 times he told me.
Also some info about the dialog 11 control would be fine. I've never worked with it, but assume it's good stuff.
Thanks, Paul
