    FP4M - 4000$ to repair ? Or any DIY guides available ?

    Hi,

We have a FP4M machine, and the measurement on the z-axis doesn't work anymore. We were told it would cost about 4000 $ to repair since parts weren't available any longer.

Are there any DIY guides available. And if so, what do we need to repair it ?

    Any experiences ?

Yep, scraped a couple here from that. Scales go bad on those, retrofit piece + labor is expensive. Have you tried removing the scale and cleaning it. Alcohol works well, and we have brought them back to life in the past, but sometimes they just fail completely.

I mean the type of the DIY guides.
There are several types used on deckel.

I have retrofit several deckels and replaced all the eletronic parts, maybe i have a good working second hand for you.(i allways keep the old good parts)
