U declare it in Toolcall command
Usually its:
Toolcall Z( or other tool axis) S 1000(spindle speed=1000RPM)
Hi every one .
we have just bought a 90's Auerbach FUW525 cnc machine .
After a couple of days resultless investigation all the net i decided to ask it here because i think there may be one think tank behind most of German made machines .
the machine is a toolroom mill equipped with heid 407 and 4th axis with KELCH made tool change system .
the machine can be used both in horizontal and vertical mode and as i understood it can perform toolchange in both modes .but how ?
i was wondering if someone send the documents.
my problem is that it preforms toolchange in vertical mode but doesnt in horizontal mode(after removing head) . there may be a code or subprogram for machine to understand its using horizontal head .
Any help will be appreciated .
Regards
Behnod

even when i change Z to Y it doesnt understand it is using horizontal head and does it in vertical position .
here is PGM 6
BEGIN PGM 6 MM P
1 ; WZ-WECHSEL!
2 M9
3 M5
4 FN 10: IF +Q109 NE +2 GOTO LBL 222
5 L X+0 Y-123,008 Z+19 R0 F8888 M92
6 LBL 222
7 LBL 0
8 L X+0 Z+19 R0 F MAX M92
9 M19
10 END PGM 6 MM P
i'm not so familiar with heidenhain systems .
Program understand it, it will act like the tool were placed along Y axis, but main part of movement goes the same way. If You tell machine to do L (line) to X10 Y25 it will go there. Magic starts when You will create circles helixes and tool offsets. Beside that there must be some switch to change physically toolhead to make turn the head that You need. Probably some lever, or less probably custom M function.
