A FRIEND HAS A PUMA LATH WITH A FANUC 10T - HE TELLS ME THE PROBLEM STARTED OUT THAT HE COULD NOT TRANFER CODE VIA HIS RS232 PORT - HIS ELECTRICIAN LOOKED AT IT AND PULLED CO4 CONNECTOR OFF THE I/O BOARD WHILE IT WAS POWERED UP - NOW THE CONTROL BOOTS UP AND IT COMES OUT OF E-STOP ALSO THE HYD COME ON ALONG WITH THE COOLANT IMMEADITLY - THEN THE CONTROL APPEARS TO BE LOCKED UP - IT DOES NOT RESPOND TO ANY KEYS OR MODE SWITCHS - I LOOKED AT PMCLAD ALSO IT DOES NO SEE ANY INPUT SWITCHES CHANGES - HE HAS ALLREADY SWAPPED THE CONTROL KEYBOARD INTERFACE BOARDS WITH NO RESULTS -WILL A I/O BOARD CAUSE THIS - HELP DAVE |

| There are fuses for the 24vdc on the I/O boards that should be checked first. Or if the operator panel P.B's or switches do not register on the I/O then you may have lost a 24vdc supply. Al.
