Hi Our small machine shop is looking to buy our first HMC. Does anyone have an opinion on the Hp4000 or the HP 5100? (good or Bad) What is your overall opinion on Doosan machining centers? Thanks so much, Dan Last edited by bookums69; 08-19-2009 at 05:45 PM. Reason: spelling |

| Have been running a HM1000 (twin 1m pallets, 2m diameterx1.5m - max 3.5t capacity) for 6 months. Machine build quality seems above average, have seen better (Hardinge/Bridgeport) and worse (Haas). Latest Fanuc controls are very powerful once you get to grips with them. Accuracy/stability is not the best, but then I am used to smaller Vertical Maching Centres... The general concensus at our place is that Okuma are better (but you will pay for it). |
