    Angry Doosan S310SML Probe

Hi all, I'm using the lathe but the probe isn't working, the lights are working when I touch the probe but nothing happens to the offsets, the control seems don't know about the probe... any clue?

    thanks

Has it ever worked? I believe there's a keep relay that is set when the probe is installed. Maybe it's turned off.

It's a Keep Relay. What control is on your machine?

I'm not 100% as I have not heard of this machine before.

But I would expect the lights to come on even if the keep relay was switched off.

Generally the ladder in the CNC's doesn't switch hardware on/off just the signals to and from the I/O.

So assuming the tool probe is similar to the current types the led lights should still come on and off.

I would trace the signal wires from the tool setter into the electrical cabinet and find out what they are connected to and examine that.

Ah my bad the lights are working !!

    Hi Bro .

If the light are working , that means the sensor is in working condition .
I susspect that the interface is mulfuntion .
Open up the electrical cabinet , you may see small interface board .. replace this ...binggo it working.

If you want I can supply it to you ..

    1) I have shut off the board in keep relays but the probe will still light up. Keep relays are a software way of turning on and off parts of the ladder. SYSTEM>PMC>PMCPAR>KEEPRELAYS. You will need to turn ON PWE under SETTINGS with the control in MDI. Your ladder manual in the beginning or end has a list of keep relays as well as INPUTS (X diagnostics), OUTPUTS (y diagnostics).
If you go to SYSTEN>PMC>STATUS, X search, the first line will show the Q setter probe inputs.
I would also check the Qsetter down switch. If this does not make, you will not go to the tool setting page. Check that in X diagnostics as well.
Your Blue book in the back of the machine has a list of all the keep relays as well.
