    Need help ASAP

I have a 1998 Daewoo Puma with a Fanuc 18-T control. I am getting an alarm message that reads (500 OVER TRAVEL : +x) My absolute x reads 39.3811 at the bottom of travel which shoud be a negative number. I can only travel about 5 inches in positive which does not even get me to 0. I cannot use refrence return either. Can anyone help.

    Thanks John

Ive seen that before. Check your overtravel limit switch. It could be dirty or faulty. Does it improve as the machine warms up? Sometimes as the slides warm up and the machine homes out repeatedly it goes away. Take your finger and depress that little switch with the roller on it and press it like 20 times and see if that helps.

Im just saying that it could be the limit switch, not that it 100% is. Ive seen it happen before.

Turn off the control. Hold the P and CAN keys while the control boots up fully. This will ignore the limits so you can Reference Return it.
