Guys, Need some help deciding which machine to go with, I have read most of the searches and am still debating which one to go with. This will be a trade up from a haas TL-3. I have beat mazak down substantially in price to be within a few percent of the doosan. We are a job shop, not knowing what can come in my door, from one-offs to full production runs. My basic concerns are the support of the machines, rigidity, and the conversational programming. I need to try to make a decision by the end of the week, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Pat |

| I don't have any experience with Mazak, but have been working on Daewoo machines for the better part of 20 years. Other than a gearbox problem years ago, and the usual oops from an operator, the machines have been solid. Our newest, a 2500LSY, has been making chips from the day it was installed. As far as conversational programming, our 12S has the FAPT control and is very easy to use, but I'm told the newer versions are a very costly option and don't support much other than your basic three axis work. We've never had support issues, and you get a lot of bang for your buck |
