Machine: Lynx 210 LC , 2002 model We're having problems with the turret over/under? rotating when indexing. It will change to the proper tool, but when it locks in the turret kinda wiggles or rotates slightly as it locks in. It looks as if it is 'finding' itself on the curvic coupler. It has progressively gotten worse and is now at the point that it 'knocks' pretty good when it does clamp. Anyone have any suggestions |

| The curvic coupler is fine I replaced the tapered dowels on both sides. I am unsure of what coupler on the turret motor you're referring to the indexing motor engages and disengages from a large gear on thats mounted on the turret shaft. Similar to how your starter engages the flywheel on your car. Could you please clarify this for me. |

** Index the turret to a position, when turret is rotating hit the E-Stop** 1:Check for rotation backlash. how far does it move CW CCW. (wear to main shaft on the splines, worn intermediate gears/bearings, the hyd. motor) 2:Place a piece of wood under the turret disc, using a lever check for movement in the Y plane. (the main shaft is supported by a bush at the front this can wear) 3: Reset the machine and index the turret. (check with a DTI clock) remove all OD turning tools. using the clock check the turret height on all the turret positions these should all be within 0.010mm. let us know how you get on.

| Hey guys... what good timing for this thread. I've run into this problem recently. I have two Daewoo 210 LC's that have this problem. One is just starting... one is currently apart being fixed. Our problem was the big gear on the splined shaft. The shaft was wore, but the gear was near perfect. So a new shaft is in order. How much are you guys paying for these shafts?..i know i'll be replacing at least two. |
