Problem with Presetting tool

Hi Guys,

this morning I had a strange problem during the phase of zero resetting, with "presetting" about some tools related to the turret A.

I have noticed that the measure of some tools (only on A turret) results to be moved in comparison to the preceding one of around 1.5 mm (exactly 1.51mm) and only on the Z axis.

For example:
T12 old distance 609.507mm - new distance 607.997
T08 old distance 610.018mm - new distance 608.508
ext...

And this for all the tools on Turret A.

The distance of the tools on turret B has been unchanged.

For example:
T04 old distance 297.161 - new distance 297.158 (only 3 microns with new carbide insert).

Has someone had the same problem?
If yes, witch is the cause of the problem?

The machine is a 4 axis turn Daewoo LU15 with Okuma OSP7000L control.

Regards
Stefano

PS Sorry to all for my bad english....

I've seen some small changes do to the Z or X clutch being overloaded and slipping some, has the machine been overloaded or hard over traveled?

Hi,

Thank you for your answer, I try to explane you what I do with this machine...

With this machine I turn often (in not alway) shaft, for machine tool.

In grove operation I remove 7.5mm with turret A and the same material on Turret B, total of 15mm, with insert carbide with 0.8mm radius.
The diameters that I turn are from 140/150mm of diameter to 70/65mm (finish diameter) for 350/400mm lenght...
The bigger diameters that I turn with both turret are from 200mm to 70mm (finish), but I never have this kind of problem... The only problem taht I had in the past was the high temperature on the motor...

If you need some more information I can try to explane better...

Regards
Stefano

Hi Guys,

I have resolved my problem (I hope.... ), the operator that worked before on that machine has hit violently "presetting" with the "A" turret, has been enough in order now to reset the "presetting".

Thanks to all

Regards
