Work for Daewoo for several years and they are a solid company as far as machines go support is hit and miss unless you deal direct with NJ office. If you are going to run a lot of diffrent low production and this is your first you might want to consider a Mazak it is easier to program and it is in the same price range DMV400 was a solid modle as is the 4020 but it still requires you know how to program in G&M code if you have never done this you will have a 6 month curve.

| I am looking at one as well and have been asking the same questions i have 4 daewoo lathes and love them but interested in the mill, im not sure if anyone on the zone has one or ran one i think that they are not as popular in the VMC section as they are in their lathes

DMV's are the choice of some very large companies around the world and are very dependable if you drive a GM car or truck chances are you Brake componets where made on a DMV400 or a DMH500 it is just a matter of programming and setup.

We are a machine shop and we currently have 10 punch press`s and 4 lasers we do all flat sheet processing and I have been programming these machines for 12 yrs. Hopefully the learning curve will be less than 6 months. and daewoo location is 1 mile from our facility. Do you know who the contact would be? Jackson, how has thier sevice been on your lathes?

I just bought a 220a Lynx this November Bought a new Sharp 2412 in November as well. In the spring, probably in March, I'll be in the market for a new 3016 Daewoo. I saw one at my dealer in Seattle and ran a couple of my parts on it and it is a fast solid machine. My dealer was just at the factory last year and showed me pictures of spindles in process. This is an impressive machine for the money. Heck...this is an impressive machine, period The very few questions I have had about mine have been handled over the phone in an hour or so. There are a number of Daewoo's in aerospace shops in the Puget Sound area and owners have told me that they have no service issues

Hi Guy I currently have a Daewoo puma 8s and it's been a good machine. I am looking at getting a second hand Daewoo DMV-500. Are these good machine? I am also looking at importing one from the USA to AUS So I wanted to know if it would fit in a 20ft shipping container with little fuss? I know the floor size needed but would like to know if it will fit with out having to strip the machine of major part, guards lubbers ect are ok Thank in advance Phil
