most fanuc controls do not have 'Hard Drives'

If the program has been transferred to the cnc correctly

    in EDIT or MEM mode
    press PROG
type the program number e.g. O0001
press cursor down then it will appear on the screen

Ok. Maybe not a hard drive but there is on board memory. Once in edit mode I was able to pull the program from the server. Once on the controller memory I'm not able to visualize the program to be sure that I'm running the correct program or verify the code one more time before slapping cycle start. I guess my main question is how to see my post. I've done it in the past with no problems but Its slipped my mind,as I dont use this particular controller on a daily basis. My everyday driver is a 31i

When you say "pull the program from the server" are you doing this through RS232 or the Ethernet connection? What steps do you perform to do this?

its coming from an ethernet connection. process is as follows...

    Edit mode...Program...optr...host...board.

from there i can see the program that is on our server. which is an odd way to see it, considering we have to rename the post. removing the .nc extension. then we are able to see it on the system controller. for the life on me i cant figure out how to select the program from the HD-DIR so i can run the cycle or edit post.

i really appreciate your help and time as well

ok... finally figured it out. i wasnt navigating through the soft key menu far enough to select the proper program. thanks again, for your time. This is an awesome community. Im glad to be a part of it!
