Daewoo Puma 700 LM - Lathe

Hi!
I work for a small shop in Norway, and we have very recently purchased a brand new Daewoo Puma 700 LM lathe, with Fanuc 21i - TB controller.
I have a question for someone who knows Daewoo lathes or have purchased an option for the lathe called "MANUAL INTERVENTION AND RETURN",
this option can be activated by altering one parameter in the controllers-software.
This option can be purchased from the reseller, but it costs about 1000 dollars or 6500 norwegian kroner.
I just don't think it's worth it, to pay that kind of money for a 0 or 1 number is just stupid!
I really hope somebody can help me with this!
