Does anybody have any experience with the Doosan REVO4020? We have a HAAS VF1 right now and we are thnking of buying a new VF2. We have the chance to buy a 2006 Doosan with a Fanuc OiMB Control for the same price. I have only used the HAAS and I'm tending to lean that way because it's what I'm familiar with.
What is the quality like of the Doosan?
Is the Fanuc control any good?
I can't seem to find much info on Doosan.
Thanks,
Geoff
Hi,
Have run VF4's and VF9's. Hated the control 'caused I'd only used Heidehain.
Got used to the control (think the newest was about 2004) but to be honest didn't think much of the build quality. Bit rattly.
Now running Doosan HM1000 with dual contact tooling. Very rigid machine. Seen their Puma Lathe in action, also looks pretty sturdy. Hated Fanuc 'cause I was used to Haas, but now its my fave. The i series are powerful controls.

Ok great, thanks for the responses.
No comparrison, Daewoo/Doosan is way more machine than a haas.
