DOOSAN VCF 850 SKIPPING M6 ON TRANSFORM PATHS
We have a DOOSAN VCF 850L mill that is skipping the M6 when running transform toolpaths. It will keep the previous tool in the spindle without changing, takes the H value from the next tool and continues with the toolpath. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it something in our post or a parameter on the control?

Hi!
Which control is on the machine?
What do you mean by "Transform Tool Path?"

The control is a FANUC i series.
It is only happening when we post a toolpath transform from Mastercam 2018.

OK. Is the machine processing an M6 ok under normal programming conditions?

Yes, it will carry out the M6 fine with any other toolpath type. We can also run the same program on any of our MORI SEIKI mills without any issues. That makes me think it is a parameter on the DOOSAN controller.

Does it do T1M6 or
T1
M6
These can be taken differently in some controls
Your post processor just needs changed to do so and a very good habit to have these on a separate line
Pre call for the tool can be anywhere
Some Doosans the M6 is setup as a Macro so the machine goes home properly and safely to preform a tool change
