Puma 240 Fanuc i chuck control

Hi!

In nc-program we have M00 in middle of program, this is because we have to blow chips away.
Problem is that sometimes machine user had open chuck and this is what we dont want to happend in this phase.
So if i use M00, M01, M02 it always gives possibility to open chuck when machines stops.
Is there any way to solve this problem that user can not open chuck in this phase ?

Hi,

It's possible by changing the Ladder Diagram, but only for experts.

For this moment you can add the following code;

M00 ..... program stop,
G97 S2 M03 ............. push START again, and open the door, chuck turns with 2 rpm, in normal conditions chuck can't open while running.
G04 X3. ................ f.e. X3 = 3 seconds to remove chips, you can change this (X-value) or press FEED HOLD.
M05...................... close the door and push START again to continue the program.
