Well... maybe if you told us what the alarm # and message were, and what control is on the machine, then we could make a more educated guess.
I am running a Daewoo DMV 3016 with job that takes about 30 minutes to run through. Every second or third run, when the machine puts the spindle back into the carousel it alarms. After that I have to jog the machine up, take out the tool and restart the whole thing. Its a real hassle. Once I restart it, it will run fine again two or three times then alarm again. Any ideas as to what is going on?

I suspect it is related to tool clamp/unclamp.
check you have been replenishing the oil reservoir on the pneumatic cylinder
check the proximity switches for the clamp/unclamp
etc
please provide the alarm number it does help...

since you posted clamp unclamp problems i am assuming that the alarm you are having is from the clamp and unclamp switches being active at the same time. If it has the omron roller switch usually the clamp switch is sticking in to long on occasion. If it is a prox switch they must be set just right or you will have problems. doosan has a tech document to show you this if you contact your distributor.
Thanks cnc doc. Yeah I am not sure the actual alarm number but the alarm message says tool clamp/unclamp alarm. We had someone here the took a look at it and found that the piston inside the machine that descends and grabs the tool was slightly twisted and so the grove tabs weren't matching. Maybe because a tool was put in wrong? I'm not really sure but I assume at this point its fixed. Unless he was wrong in which case its just a waiting game until it crashes again.
