Hi all, I have a A3050 Wiedemann (30 station turret punch w/plasma torch) running on a micon 486 slicer control. Like so many CNC machines the mechanicals and servos are in grood shape (Servos upgraded by Slicer in about '98) but the control is dated and a pain in the *** to use. Are there any controllers out there that can be put in a new PC and set in this machine. Wish it was something that was not DOS based. Many years ago I used Flash cut CNC and I was imaging a self contained controller like that where I could draw up the part, program it and run it, right on the PC controler. Should I consider contacting Slicer about this? Thank you. |
