    Anilam 1100m software

    Hello,

Out Anilam 1100m 2 axis system is giving us no video and the computer will not boot. Does anyone know how to repair the system? Is there a source for parts? Also, does anyone have the software that runs on the mill? I have the disk but it is corrupted.

    Thanks!

    Hi John,

Thanks a lot, I will be contacting him tomorrow. I am wondering if you know what the approx price to have the system overhualed is? It is only a problem with the computer, the servos, drives, power supply, and everything else is fine.

    Thanks,
    Ben

    Hi Ben,

Is this a machine that was working and now has a problem or is it a machine you bought and are now trying to get running?

Are you sure you have issues with all of the items you mentioned? computer, the servos, drives, power supply.

If all of those items are toast it is probably not worth fixing.

Jerry at Anilam will probably give you some recommendations on things to check and possibly send you some software to get the machine operating if that is all that is wrong. I would not put a lot of money in that control. I just sold a couple of Seiki XL 3 Axis CNC Mills with Anilam 1100M controls on them and that were in proper working order for about 5K each.

Just an opinion of a former owner of the Anilam 1100M Control. I am sure others out there may be able to give you further advise.

    John

    Hi John,

I am actually a member of a High School robotics team, MVRT Team 115 [URL="www.mvrt.com"]www.mvrt.com[/URL. The mill was donated to us from a local machine shop because out old machine had about 0.002" play in table against the gibs. The machine worked when the shop bought it from Coherent Inc. in 1994 and sat in the shop relatively unused until they got a new CNC at which point they moved this one to another area to make room. When we got it, it worked to the point that it would boot and run for about 1 minute. At that point, the screen would go white and it would become unresponsive. Once the machine rebooted, it would not work for about 30 minutes, then would repeat the white screen and wait. It did that for a while then it started giving beeps saying that it had no video card. Now it won't boot at all past the 3 beeps. I have removed the video card and cleaned the contacts, the card works in another computer we have but not in this mill. As far as we know, the motion board, the servos and drives are fine, it's just an issue with the computer.
